Curbside Recycling Expanding in Nashville

Oct 16, 2009 by

The mayor has announced and expansion of the initiative that started earlier this year in Bellevue with regards to curbside recycling.   If you live in an urban services district then you already get curbside pick up of everything but glass.  However, Earth Savers Recycling has partnered with the city to offer affordable curb side recycling options for some of the folks outside of these districts for as low as $10 a month and they collect glass which to me is almost worth having to pay for it.

The Bellevue area was the pilot program for this service and it’s been so successful that they are expanding in to other zip codes.  If you are interested in having this service then you can sign up with Earth Savers and once they have the minimum amount of people to justify adding the service in your area then pick up will begin.    They even have a color coated map of areas where they are close to getting their quota.
